Olivier Eisenmann was born in Zürich. He studied with his father, the composer Will Eisenmann, and at the Conservatory of Lucerne with Sava Savoff (piano) and Eduard Kaufmann, professor of the Swiss Academy of Sacred Music and organist of the Collegiate Church Lucerne (organ). At the same time he gained a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Zürich.

After having  performed  as a pianist  for many years, he has given as a concert organist recitals in almost all European countries e.g. in Madrid, Amsterdam, Haarlem (St. Bavo), Paris (Notre-Dame and St-Sulpice), Lyon, Rouen,  in the cathedrals of Barcelona, Sevilla, Montpellier, Brussels, Bruges, Aix-la-Chapelle, Cologne, Treves, Würzburg, Berlin, Hamburg, Dresden, Passau, Danzig, Warsaw, Vienna (St. Stephen`s), Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt, Saint Gall, Lausanne, Geneva, Bourges, Dijon, Rotterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, Chester, Sheffield, Lincoln, London (St. Paul`s), York Minster, Copenhagen, Oslo, Turku, Helsinki and regularly in swedish cathedrals (among others several times in Stockholm, Göteborg, Karlstad, Linköping, Kalmar, Lund and Uppsala); in the minsters of Bonn and Berne, in Munich, Porto, Prague, Bratislava, Cracow, Budapest and Ljubljana. He has played at a number of major organ festivals including those in Palma de Mallorca, Ragusa, Naples, Rome, Verona, Turin,  in the cathedrals of Gent, Antwerp, in Bonn, Rostock, Helsingör,  Košice (Slovakia), Oliva (Poland), Vilnius, Minsk (Philharmony), Moscow (catholic Cathedral), Ufa, Nishni Novgorod, Yalta, Hong Kong, São Paulo, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, in the Mexican cathedrals of Morelia and Guadalajara, in the Festival d`Avignon and the International Festival of Music Lucerne (Concert Hall).

Concert  tours have also taken him to Mexico City, the USA, e.g. in New York (Riverside Church and St. Patrick`s Cathedral), Boston, Washington D.C. (National Cathedral), Chicago (Holy Name Cathedral) and Seattle, Australia (Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney), New Zealand, Iceland, Russia – e.g. St. Petersburg (Capella and Philharmony), Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Ufa, Archangelsk etc. – in the Baltic Republics (e.g. in the cathedral of Riga and Tallinn) as well as in the Ukraine. He has been a soloist in orchestral concerts with the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie (e.g. in the Tonhalle Zürich), the Deutsches Bachorchester, the State Philharmony Košice, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in Singapore.

He recorded for radio and television in Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, in the Czech Republic,  in Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Poland, Belorussia, Russia, Sweden, Brazil and Singapore.

His vast repertoire is also reflected in 21 recordings  (12 discs, 9 CDs ), including première recordings  with music of the 19th and 20th century. Apart from organ playing and teaching he wrote articles for magazines and gave lectures and masterclasses on organ music, e.g. in Academies of Herford, Parma, Sydney, Moscow and Nishni Novgorod. 2014 he was honoured with the award „Weggiser Rose“ for his worldwide musical activities.

Olivier Eisenmann syntyi Sveitsin Zürichissä. Hän opiskeli professori Eduard Kaufmannin johdolla Luzernissa. Eisenmann opiskeli myös filosofiaa Zürichin yliopistossa suorittaen tohtorin tutkinnon.

Eisenmann toimi aluksi pianostina, mutta omistautui sittemmin urkurin uralle ja hän onkin esiintynyt lähes jokaisessa Euroopan maassa. Konserttikiertueet ovat vieneet hänet Euroopan lisäksi  Meksikoon, USAhan, Australiaan, Uuteen Seelantiin, Singaporeen ja Venäjälle.

Eisenmann on tehnyt nauhoituksia radiolle ja televisolle ympäri maailmaa sekä tehnyt runsaasti levytyksiä. Opetustyön ja mestarikurssien lisäksi hän kirjoittanut lukuisia artikkeleita eri lehtiin. Vuonna 2014 hän sai ”Weggiser Rose” -palkinnon maailmanlaajuisesta musiikillisesta aktiviteetistaan.​
